Make a great first impression — and a secure one — with a professionally installed door.

Your front door is the first thing guests — and potential buyers — see. MAS Contractors LLC installs entry doors, interior doors, French doors, sliding glass doors, and storm doors across Richmond, North Chesterfield, and Midlothian with expert precision and clean, beautiful trim work.
We carry doors from leading manufacturers in fiberglass, steel, and wood. Each installation includes proper framing, weatherstripping, threshold sealing, and hardware installation. If your current door frame is damaged or out of square, we correct the rough opening before installing — ensuring proper operation for years to come.
We measure your openings, assess frame and rough opening condition, and help you select the right door style and material for your home.
Choose material (fiberglass, steel, or wood), style, finish, and hardware — from decorative entry locksets to heavy-duty security hinges.
We correct any out-of-square framing, damaged jambs, or undersized headers before the new door goes in — ensuring a true, lasting fit.
Door hung, leveled, and shimmed — then interior and exterior trim installed, weatherstripping fitted, and threshold sealed tight.

Out-of-Square Rough Openings
Door frames in homes over 15 years old are rarely perfectly plumb and square. Setting a door without correcting the rough framing leads to binding, failure to latch, and uneven gaps — problems that worsen as the house continues to settle.
Header Sizing for Wider Openings
Converting a 32" door to a 36" or double-door opening requires enlarging the structural header above it. In load-bearing walls, this needs a structural engineer's calculation and a temporary support wall during framing — permitted work.
Sill Pan Waterproofing
Water always finds the lowest point — and exterior door sills are a prime entry point during Virginia's heavy rain events. Every exterior door installation requires a properly sloped sill pan with end dams to redirect water away from the subfloor.
Long-Term Weatherstrip Performance
A door that seals perfectly on Day 1 may develop drafts within 1–2 years as weatherstripping compresses. Quality compression seals and door sweeps outlast cheaper alternatives by 3–5× across Virginia's temperature range from 15°F to 100°F.
Use 3-inch structural screws through the hinge into the structural framing — not just the door jamb. This is the single most impactful security upgrade on any residential door.
Check the floor for level at the threshold location before setting a door — an unlevel floor requires a custom threshold bevel that's much easier to address before the door is hung.
Fiberglass doors must be painted before installation if they'll be exposed to direct sunlight — uncoated fiberglass fades and becomes brittle from UV within 2 years.
For any exterior installation, always install a drip cap above the door frame — it's cheap insurance against the most common source of water infiltration at door heads.
Measure your door swing radius against furniture and walls before ordering — a door that opens into a cabinet is an expensive and embarrassing mistake to fix after installation.
