Reduce energy bills and upgrade your home's comfort with new energy-efficient windows.

Drafty or outdated windows are one of the biggest sources of energy loss in Richmond homes. MAS Contractors LLC replaces windows throughout Richmond, North Chesterfield, and Henrico with high-performance, energy-efficient units from multiple top manufacturers — giving you more choice and better pricing than single-brand dealers.
We handle full-frame replacements, insert replacements, and specialty window installations including picture windows, bay windows, sliding glass doors, and skylights. All installations include proper flashing, trim work, and caulking to prevent future moisture intrusion.
We measure every window, assess frame condition and rot, and recommend insert vs. full-frame replacement for each opening individually.
Choose frame material, operating style, Low-E glass package, and color — windows are then ordered to your exact measurements.
Custom windows are manufactured in 4–8 weeks. We confirm delivery and schedule your installation date once windows arrive.
Windows installed, flashed, sealed with professional caulk, and trimmed inside and out for a clean, draft-free finish.

No Two Openings Are the Same
Frames in homes over 15 years old are rarely square — they shift, headers settle, and framing wood twists. Every opening must be measured independently, and shimming precision determines whether the window operates smoothly for years or sticks and drafts from Day 1.
Lead Paint in Pre-1978 Homes
Homes built before 1978 may have lead paint on window frames and trim. Disturbing lead paint without proper containment and EPA RRP-certified procedures creates health and legal liability. We test and follow RRP protocols for all pre-1978 projects.
Egress Compliance in Bedrooms
Virginia building code requires every bedroom window to provide a minimum 5.7 sq ft of opening for emergency egress. Many older windows don't meet this standard. Window replacement is the right time to bring bedrooms into compliance.
Thermal Seal Failure Between Panes
Condensation or fogging between double-pane glass means the argon fill has escaped and the insulating value is gone. This is a sign that the surrounding frame and flashing should also be inspected for moisture damage before new windows are installed.
Measure each window opening individually — even windows that appear identical in the same room frequently differ by 1/4" or more, and custom sizing is essential for a tight install.
Use low-expansion spray foam around window frames — standard high-expansion foam can bow the frame and cause the window to bind or fail to lock.
Specify Low-E 366 glass for south and west-facing windows — it blocks 66% of solar heat gain while keeping good light transmission, meaningfully reducing summer cooling costs in Virginia.
Replace windows before repainting exterior trim — you'll avoid scraping and repainting freshly installed windows, and caulk lines will be cleaner.
If your home was built before 1978, test for lead paint before removal — a $30 test kit can save significant remediation costs and legal exposure.
